Jabari Banks Has More In Common With Will Smith Than You Might Think!

Jabari Banks and Will Smith really are one and the same!

The 23-year-old newcomer portrays the same role in the new Bel-Air series that the 53-year-old portrayed on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week, Jabari revealed that he and Will are much more similar than you may have realized.

If you didn’t know, Jabari is from Philadelphia, which of course, is also where Will Smith is from. (And the character on the show!)

“I rap as well. I was a rapper before I was an actor,” Jabari told Kelly. He then added that he has his own music coming out this summer!

“I play piano too. I produce, I do a lot. I juggle. I got three things,” he said.

Will was also a rapper before getting into acting. In addition, these shows were both of their television debuts, plus Will was 22 years old when Fresh Prince first aired, while Jabari is only 23 when Bel-Air first premiered!

Also on the show, Jabari and Kelly rapped the theme song for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and they talked about his audition process, and Will surprising him with the news that he got the part.
