Harvey Guillén In Talks For Major Role In 'Blue Beetle' Movie (Report)

Harvey Guillén is reportedly in talks for a key role in the upcoming Blue Beetle movie adaptation!

The What We Do In The Shadows actor’s possible role is of course currently being kept under wraps at this time, Deadline reports.

Harvey would be joining Xolo Maridueña in the DC Comics film, which will be based off of the 2006 version of the comic.

Xolo will star as Mexican-American teenager Jaime Reyes, the third character to take on the Blue Beetle mantle.

“His powers come from a mysterious scarab that binds to Reyes’ spine and provides him with a powerful suit of armor around his body,” according to The Wrap.

Blue Beetle was originally set to premiere on HBO Max, but it has moved to a theatrical release instead. The film has a release date set for August 18, 2023.
