Robert Pattinson to Return For 'The Batman' Sequel With Director Matt Reeves

Looks like Robert Pattinson‘s time as the caped crusader Batman is not over!

It was just announced at CinemaCon that the 35-year-old actor will return for a The Batman sequel, according to Variety.

Director Matt Reeves, who also co-wrote the movie, will return to write the sequel.

In The Batman, when a killer targets Gotham City’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle, The Penguin, Carmine Falcone and The Riddler.

As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, The Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

The film also stars Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, John Turturro, Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright.

The Batman recently debuted on HBO Max, and it’s 4.1 million household viewership outnumbered the first week of HBO Max and Warner Bros day and date movies The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman 1984, The Matrix Resurrections and Dune.

The film has also raked in $750 million worldwide at the box office, proving to be a big hit!

This is also the first time that one of Robert‘s movies has had a sequel since The Twilight Saga.
