Daisy Edgar-Jones & Taylor John Smith Star In New 'Where the Crawdads Sing' Trailer - Watch Now!

A new trailer was just released for the upcoming Where the Crawdads Sing movie adaptation!

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Delia Owens and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson and more.

Here’s a synopsis: Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya (Edgar-Jones), an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community.

Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.

Taylor plays Tate Walker, Harris plays Chase Andrews, plus Michael Hyatt as Mabel, Sterling Macer Jr as Jumpin and David Strathairn as Tom Milton.

The film was directed by Olivia Newman, with the screenplay by Lucy Alibar. Reese Witherspoon also serves as a producer!

In the new trailer, just like the first one, you can hear the original song “Carolina,” which was written specifically for the movie by Taylor Swift.

Where the Crawdads Sing comes out in theaters on July 15th.
