Zendaya Reveals Why She Couldn't Ever Be a Pop Star

Zendaya is opening up about her career path.

In a new Actors on Actors interview with her Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Andrew Garfield, the 25-year-old actress shared why she couldn’t be a pop star.

See what Zendaya said inside…

“You are — as far as I know — a very grounded, sincere, authentic person with integrity. I’m really curious about how you are finding more of you as you go,” Andrew said, via Variety.

“I was talking to Sam [Levinson] about this earlier. I was like I don’t know if I could ever be a pop star,” Zendaya responded. “It’s because as an actor, there’s a level of anonymity that I get to have, which I really like. And I get to sort my stuff, whatever that is, through a character and nobody needs to know about it. Whereas in other forms and other mediums, it’s all you all the time. I like the idea that somebody else, meaning Rue, gets to take on that stuff…”

“Yeah, boundaries. Learning what’s for me,” she added.

Zendaya has previously released her own album and has performed concerts in the past. Most recently, she had a couple songs on the Euphoria season two soundtrack.
