BLACKPINK's Lisa Sets 3 More Guinness World Records, Her First as a Solo Artist

Lisa is continuing to make a big mark as a solo artist!

The 25-year-old BLACKPINK singer and rapper has just notched not one, not two, but THREE more Guinness World Records, the organization reveals.

Previously, Lisa has had a handful of records with BLACKPINK, who currently hold titles for the most subscribers for a band on YouTube, the first K-pop group to reach No 1 on the UK albums chart (female) and the first K-pop group to reach No ! on the US albums chart (female).

On Tuesday (January 24), the Guinness World Records that Lisa now holds the records for the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Video Music Awards, the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the title of having the most followers on Instagram for a K-pop artist as of January 19, 2023, with 86.3 million followers.

Lisa broke out as a solo artist with her debut single “LaLisa,” which was released in September 2021.

Previous records held by BLACKPINK include most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours and the most viewed music video in 24 hours, which were both overtaken by BTS‘ “Dynamite.”

BLACKPINK will also be making history at an upcoming music festival, and will be sure to add another Guinness World Record to their collection…
