Disney Announces 3 Animated Movie Sequels Are In the Works!

HUGE Disney news was just revealed!

During the company’s quarterly earnings call on Wednesday (February 8), CEO Bob Iger announced that there are three major animated movies are getting sequels.

“Today I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises,” he said, via Deadline. “We’ll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we’re leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises.”

The news comes as fans have anxiously been awaiting a follow up for two of the franchises, while some fans may not be too impressed with another one that’s coming.

If you missed it, two of the franchises getting sequels were recently announced to have movies on the list of the Top 15 most streamed movies of 2022.
