'Jane' Star Mason Blomberg Shares 10 Fun Facts About Himself (Exclusive)

Mason Blomberg is opening up about himself!

The young actor can now be seen portraying David in the new Apple TV+ series Jane, which was just released TODAY, Friday (April 14).

Jane follows a 9-year-old budding environmentalist, named Jane, on a quest to save endangered animals. Using her powerful imagination, Jane takes her best friends David and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world because, according to her idol Dr. Jane Goodall: “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.”

Ahead of the series premiere on the streaming service, we caught up with Mason and got to know 10 Fun Facts about the actor. Check out what he shared with us below…

1. I am the eldest of four kids! I have two little brothers who are 6 and 7 and a little sister who is 2 years old! I love being a big brother!!!
2. When I was filming in Kenya, Africa I got two meet the last two living Northern White Rhinos! It was very emotional seeing them and listening to the guide talk about them. But this experience confirmed to me how important it is that we all do what we can to help endangered species!
3. I call Parmesan cheese “Parmers.” When I was three years old I was obsessed with Parmesan cheese but I pronounced it, “Parmers.” Now my whole family, including my parents and grandparents, all call it that.
4. I love dressing fancy and have a huge bow tie collection! I used to dress in nice clothes and wear a bow tie to school every Friday and called it “Fancy Fridays.” It caught on with other kids in my class and they started to dress up for fancy Friday! I still love every chance I get to dress fancy!
5. My mom just took me and my best friend to our first concert. It was to a 90’s ska band called Buck-o-Nine. It was so much fun! I cannot wait to go to another concert. I would love to see Imagine Dragons live!
6. I became a vegetarian when I was 7! I told my mom, “I just don’t want to be the reason animals die.” I have not eaten meat since.
7. On the same day that I signed with my first acting agent, I was pulling on my undies while standing and tripped and fell on the wooden stairs of my bunk bed. I fell face first and knocked my two front teeth out! Because they weren’t ready to come out, I ended up with a toothless smile for nearly two years!
8. Speaking of teeth, since I’m the oldest brother, I was losing lots of teeth when my little bros were still too young to lose any. They got really sad that the tooth fairy visited me and not them. So I created “The Brother Fairy.” I hid little toys and trinkets under my brothers’ pillows and I tell them that the Brother Fairy has visited them. They love it.
9. For the show Jane, my co-star Ava Louise and I actually filmed in a shark tank in the ocean at Catalina Island. We had to take scuba lessons at a pool in Toronto to prepare for these scenes. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to go scuba diving more in the future!
10. I can solve any Rubix Cube in under two minutes!
