Jenna Ortega Dishes on Working With Christina Ricci & Being Associated with Wednesday's Goth Style

Jenna Ortega recently opened up about what it was like working with Christina Ricci!

The 20-year-old actress of course played Wednesday Addams alongside Christina as Marilyn Thornhill in the mega-hit Netflix series.

Christina obviously played the same role in the Addams Family movies in the 90s.

In a new interview, Jenna shared what it was like to be on set, in costume, with Christina, and a favorite moment with her.

“I was almost intimidated to work with her just because I respect her so much as an actor,” Jenna told WSJ. Magazine. “It’s weird when you’re dressed up as she was 30 years ago, and I’m sure that may have been weird for her, but she definitely didn’t seem that way at all.”

She added, “She loves to play. Seeing her twist and watching her become the villain, I feel like that’s such a natural turn for her. And I mean that as the greatest compliment possible.”

Jenna also shared what it’s like to be associated to Wednesday’s goth style.

“The problem is that since doing that show, if I do wear something black, it seems like I’m leaning into character, but it’s my genuine style,” she told the mag. “I genuinely resonate with Wednesday and the color black. It’s easy, and I feel the most like myself when I’m wearing all black, which is also why doing that job is really exciting.”

Jenna has previously opened up about all of the similarities between herself and Wednesday Addams.
