Freeform Unveils Trailer for First Original Animated Series 'Praise Petey' - Watch Now

Freeform‘s first ever original animated series is just weeks away from premiering!

Ahead of it’s debut, the network just dropped the official trailer for the upcoming comedy Praise Petey, from writer and creator and executive producer Anna Drezen.

Here’s a synopsis: Petey, aka Petra, begins the series as an NYC “It Girl” with everything figured out, until her well-curated life comes crashing down. As luck would have it, a mysterious gift from her deceased father gives her a new lease on life – taking over as leader of his small-town cult New Utopia. As Petey leans into her new role as a “girl boss,” she discovers what it means to be a leader and how to find her voice as she tries to modernize her late father’s small-town cult.

Starring in the series are Annie Murphy as Petey, along with Christine Baranski, Stephen Root, John Cho and Kiersey Clemons.

Praise Petey is set to premiere July 21st at 10pm ET/PT on Freeform with the first two episodes. Then, two episodes will drop weekly following the premiere, and will be available on Hulu the next day.
