In April 2023, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy shared that a second season is not in “active development,” via Variety. “I never say never, because there’s always the possibility. That show was so well-received and [director] Deborah Chow did such a spectacular job. Ewan McGregor really wants to do another….We’ll turn our attention to that again maybe down the road.”

Series synopsis: The series begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
