Get to Know 'Beetlejuice' Broadway National Tour Star Isabella Esler with 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

Isabella Esler has been wowing audiences across North America in the national tour of Beetlejuice for nine months now!

The teen actress stars in the leading role of Lydia Deetz for her first big professional role, which she booked just months after graduating high school.

If you don’t know, Beetlejuice centers on Lydia, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes.

“It was definitely weird because, in my brain, I had such a clear path for myself,” Isabella recently told Girl’s Life. “I was gonna go to college for four years and then do auditioning but it kinda went the other way for me, which I’m so thankful for. Working with a lot of these experienced actors…it’s almost kind of like my own college. I’m learning so many different things.”

JJJ recently caught up with Isabella amongst her busy touring schedule and got to know 10 Fun Facts about her – Check out what she shared with us below!

• 1. I’m a Pisces.
• 2. I’m left-handed and I can’t process that most people write with their right hand.
• 3. I like to find cute local coffee shops around each city I travel to! My usual order is an iced matcha latte with either oat milk or almond milk. I always switch around. I like to add lavender if that’s an option!
• 4. I don’t like coffee, but I like to make my own matcha drinks. I’m more of a tea girl.
• 5. I hate pickles but like cucumbers?
• 6. I could eat sushi for the rest of my life if I had to. My go-to is always the caterpillar roll with miso soup. Ramen and Tacos are also good too.
• 7. I grew up in California in the San Francisco bay area. Growing up I loved going to Santa Cruz and hanging out at the beach.
• 8. I have a toy poodle named Calypso who’s the cutest thing in the world!
• 9. My mom’s side of the family is from Colombia and my grandparents live in Bógota.
• 10. Comfort desserts are boba or bingsoo. Ice cream is also always good.
