Toddy Smith Updates Fans on Plans for New Music, Teases Live Performances

Toddy Smith of Vlog Squad fame is focused on his music career and has some big plans on the horizon.

The 32-year-old social media star dropped his electro-kissed new single “Started As a Joke” earlier this month.

In a recent interview, he opened up about plans for future releases and even teased if fans could expect to see him on the road in the near future.

Speaking to Distractify, Toddy confirmed that more music is on the way “before the holidays.” However, the release schedule will be a slower trickle, and there are no plans in motion for a full-length album just yet.

“I was thinking like an EP, but then I was talking to some friends and they were like ‘Just drop singles like so you can stretch them out,” he explained to the outlet. “So then the plan is just to put the singles into an album on Spotify.”

That doesn’t mean Toddy has ruled out doing an album eventually. “It would be cool, it just takes a lot of time, and my friends that produce, they’re busy… It just takes a long time,” he explained.

Toddy continued, saying, “The goal would be to go live with someone and do an album or an EP for a couple of weeks. You know, really just get it all done at once. I haven’t done that yet, but I want to.”

It sounds more likely that we’ll get to see the hitmaker on tour before he drops an album. He told Distractify that he’s been rehearsing with a vocal coach and is contemplating a show with Jason Nash and Scotty Sire.

“I had a dream one time, like a very vivid dream that I performed live, and I woke up like ‘I got to do it.’ So I told my vocal coach and we started practicing my songs with the mic and everything,” he recalled.
