James Charles Announces He's Shutting Down His Clothing Line, Sisters Apparel

James Charles is shutting down his brand, Sisters Apparel.

The 24-year-old YouTube star made the announcement on social media on Thursday (October 12).

“Well, it’s official. Sisters Apparel is shutting down. This video is bittersweet for me to make, but it’s been a long time coming. Let’s talk about it,” he began.

He explained that he launched the brand along with his famous YouTube slogan, and that he was overwhelmed by the positive response. However, more recently, James has felt disconnected from the brand.

“I just don’t feel connected to the brand anymore. A lot of people have noticed that I no longer say ‘hi sisters’ in my videos anymore. It’s not because I don’t love the people who are watching. You guys will always be my sisters. I’ve just grown up a bit,” he said.

“It just started to feel a little bit immature,” he continued, adding that his priorities shifted to his Painted makeup line. “The main reason being it was a lot of work, and my heart has always been in makeup…that just started to take more and more priority.”
