Disney Announces New, Delayed Release Date for Live Action 'Snow White' Starring Rachel Zegler

Disney fans will be waiting quite a bit longer to see Rachel Zegler in action as Snow White.

The 22-year-old Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes actress is set to bring the classic Disney princess to life in a new live action adaptation, which follows the entertainment giant’s retelling of The Little Mermaid. The latter was fronted by Halle Bailey.

While the movie was set to premiere on March 22, 2024, Disney has now pushed the movie back by nearly a year.

According to Variety, Snow White will now premiere on March 21, 2025.

Disney also pushed back the release of their animated movie Elio by over a year from its March 1 release date. Fans will have to wait until June 13, 2025 to see the project, which features America Ferrera and Jameela Jamil.

If you haven’t been keeping up, Rachel‘s version of Snow White has stirred up some controversy. Despite backlash over her casting, the actress recently reminded us that she’s been a princess for years.
