'Bunk'd' Canceled by Disney Channel, Will End After Expanded 7th Season

Disney Channel’s longest-running live-action series is coming to an end next year when Bunk’d wraps its run after seven seasons.

The seventh season originally received a 20-episode order and 12 episodes had been completed prior to the WGA strike beginning in early May. Those 12 episodes have already been aired and now the cast will go back to work on the second half of the season.

The second half of the season will get 10 episodes, instead of the 8 that were remaining to be shot. Production has already begun.

Bunk’d was a spinoff series for Jessie with Peyton List, Karan Brar, and Skai Jackson reprising their characters as they went off to summer camp. They left the show after three seasons, though Miranda May, who plays camp counselor Lou Hockhauser, has remained on the show for all seven seasons.

“With a fantastic cast of characters and hilarious and heartful storylines, it’s no wonder Bunk’d has been one of Disney Channel’s longest running and successful live action series. We’d like to thank our talented cast, creative team and crew for bringing tremendous joy and laughter to kids for seven incredible seasons,” Ayo Davis, President, Disney Branded Television, said in a statement to Deadline.
