Who Plays Elliot In 'Night Swim'? Get to Know Star Gavin Warren With 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

Gavin Warren is starring in the new horror film Night Swim!

The 15-year-old Fear the Walking Dead actor portrays Elliot Waller in the movie, the son of Wyatt Ryssell‘s Ray Waller, who is a former major league baseball player forced into early retirement.

In the movie, secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades Eve that the new home’s shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the home’s past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family under, into the depths of inescapable terror.

With Night Swim out in theaters TODAY (January 5), we caught up with Gavin and got to know 10 Fun Facts about him!

• 1. One of my favorite things to do is go herping. It’s a real thing and it’s the study of reptiles; I love to go in the woods and find them. I have always wanted a Mexican Alligator lizard. *Fun fact: I told Bryce [McGuire, director] that during the audition and they made me a shirt with lizard on it for the movie.
• 2. I am for sure an outside of the box thinker. I have dyslexia and look at it as a gift which I can use to my advantage.
• 3. I have a Harry Potter scar on my forehead. When I was about 5, I went down a slide backward and fell, which got me 32 stitches in my face. The plastic surgeon’s name was Dr. Payne, he told me I could call him Eric. Thank you for being so kind and doing a great job on the surgery so you can barely see it.
• 4. I go to a very small high school that is inside of a karate dojo. Only 10 kids in the entire high school. They focus on life skills as well as school. We most recently had to read “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.”
• 5. Before I got into acting, I did 17 hours a week of gymnastics. I think it’s helped with being disciplined and of course helps with stunts and stuff too.
• 6. I love animals! I have a Maltese named Kahleesi, a ragdoll cat named Sadie, and a bearded dragon named Sparky. I also have 9 koi fish and yes, I have named them all.
• 7. My favorite food is hibachi and ramen – I’m hungry just thinking about it.
• 8. The first time I ever used a scuba tank was on set of Night Swim and now I want to get certified and dive.
• 9. I love getting to do stunt scenes for movies and shows! Anything with action; I do lots of sports and love to be super active. I do gymnastics, parkour, jujitsu, kickboxing, and breakdancing. I have a pickle ball court at my house and it gets super competitive with my two older brothers 😂
• 10. I really really like cars; from a classic Porsche to Lamborghini’s. I’m learning to drive now and can’t wait until I turn 16 on April 17th!
