Zendaya Reunites With 'Shake It Up' Mom Carla Renata During 'Dune: Part Two' Press

Zendaya had a sweet reunion while doing press for her upcoming movie Dune: Part Two!

The 27-year-old actress and co-star Florence Pugh were teamed up for a press day when one of their interviewers was actually Zendaya’s Shake It Up TV mom Carla Renata.

At the start of the video, Zendaya and Carla shared a big hug with each other before the interview.

While hugging, they exchanged pleasantries – “How are you?” “I’m good.” – Then, Zendaya said, “Sorry. One of my many TV mamas,” followed by Carla clarifying, “I was her first TV mama, let’s make a distinction, honey.”

After their interview, Carla gushed over Zendaya and Florence.

“I’ve been a fan of yours like for 5,000 years, so, I’m so happy to be able to finally talk to you,” she told Florence.

“I am so proud of you, I literally could just bust out of my clothes,” Carla said to Zendaya. “I can’t even handle it right now. Thank you so much for your time, I appreciate you.”

Zendaya starred as Rocky Blue in all 75 episodes of Shake It Up on Disney Channel, from 2010-2013, while Carla appeared several times throughout, playing her mom Marcie Blue in six episodes.
