We are getting to know more about young actor Luke David Blumm!
The 14-year-old The Watcher actor stars in the new film alongside Nicola Peltz Beckham, who also makes her writing and directorial debut with the project.
Here’s a synopsis: Set in 2002 Middle America, Lola revolves around nineteen-year-old Lola James (Peltz Beckham) who is desperately working to save enough money to get her little brother, Arlo (Blumm), out of their toxic home dominated by their mother, Mona (Virginia Madsen). All Lola wants is for Arlo to have a chance at the life she never had, nor will. One tragic night her whole world gets uprooted, and from that moment on, nothing will ever be the same.
With the film being released in select theaters and On Demand TODAY (February 9), we got to know 10 Fun Facts about Luke David Blumm.

- 1. I am vegan, which means that I choose not to eat anything or wear anything that is derived from animal products. When I was shooting the horror movie, SON, I listened to Joaquin Phoenix’ Oscar acceptance speech and, after that, never ate meat again.
- 2. I love music and play the piano and guitar. My favorite artists are Metallica, Green Day, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel, James Taylor and Louis Armstrong. My parents got me tickets to Green Day for my birthday.
- 3. My favorite actor is Anthony Hopkins because he has a very natural and effortless way of acting. He also loves music and you can tell he genuinely enjoys acting. He seems very nice and also fantastically weird…just like me.
- 4. I write comic books. In my audition with Judd Apatow for The King Of Staten Island, I told him about a character of mine called Iceflash. He was very kind and not only cast me…but put Iceflash in the movie!
- 5. I love to play video games. I started with playing Minecraft and The Legend Of Zelda series. Most recently I’ve been playing Elden Ring. It’s awesome.
- 6. I love watching anime. I particularly like Love Is War, One Punch Man, The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses and Dragon Ball.
- 7. My favorite movie is The Elephant Man, directed by David Lynch. When I worked on The Watcher, I got to work with his very talented daughter, director Jennifer Lynch.
- 8. I have two other movies coming out soon. One of them is called Avenue Of The Giants, and it is about a boy who escaped from a concentration camp during the Holocaust. It’s based on the true story of Herbert Heller.
- 9. The other is called Lost On A Mountain In Maine and is about a boy who was lost for nine days on Mount Katahdin. It’s based on the book by the same name and the true story of Donn Fendler.
- 10. I have two dogs, named Bailey and Connor. I have a cat named Payson. We used to live on Payson Ave, in NYC and she was a stray who showed up on our doorstep. So we kept her and named her Payson.
