Taylor Swift Confirms She'll Record Her Old Songs Again!

Ever since it was revealed that Taylor Swift‘s master recordings were sold to Scooter Braun, fans have been hoping that she’ll re-record her music.

Even though the 29-year-old singer still owns the publishing rights to the music, some of the royalties for her old songs will now go to Scooter. If she re-records the songs and releases them through her new label, Taylor will seemingly get all of the royalties.

In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning, which will air this weekend, Taylor was asked if she plans on making new recordings of the old songs so she regains control of the recordings.

“Oh yeah,” Taylor responded. The interviewer then said, “That’s a plan?” and Taylor said, “Yeah, absolutely.”

Page Six is reporting that there are terms in her contract with Big Machine that could prevent her from actually releasing new recordings though.

Make sure to get Taylor‘s new album Lover when it drops on Friday!
