Dove Cameron shared a special message for Kristin Chenoweth‘s birthday over the weekend!
The Broadway star celebrated another year around the sun on Saturday (July 24) and received a lot of love for her big day.
Dove took to her Instagram story to share a super sweet message wishing her longtime friend a happy birthday.

“there are literally hundreds … hundreds !!!!!!! of photos of us in existence spanning over the last 8 years, most of which i cannot post,” Dove wrote.
“but none that sum up how much i love you or who we actually are to each other. thank you for being a mentor in my career, but more importantly in life !!!” she continued. “thank you for mothering me and holding my hand through everything that these years have held !!!! you are an icon, an inspiration and a true earth angel. we are all better for knowing you. happy birthday, mama !!! see you soooooooooon”
Dove and Kristin first worked together on the first Descendants movie, as mother and daughter. They have also been on screen as mother and daughter again in Hairspray Live, and can currently both be seen starring in Schmigadoon! on Apple TV+.
Throughout the years, the two have also sang live together, performing “For Good” from the musical Wicked. Many people have thrown Dove‘s name out there to play Glinda in the Wicked movie, a role Kristin of course originated on Broadway.
