Sasha Calle Talks Meeting Henry Cavill & Getting His Approval of Her Supergirl

Sasha Calle is dishing on the first time she met Henry Cavill!

As a refresher, the 27-year-old actress is starring as Supergirl in the upcoming The Flash movie, while the 40-year-old actor has played Superman across multiple DC films.

If you somehow didn’t know, Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers, and Superman, aka Kal-El/Clark Kent, are cousins!

In a recent interview, Sasha opened up about meeting Henry and whether he approved of her playing Supergirl.

“Yes, I met him,” she told EW. “I met him actually after the movie was done, months later. I gave him a big hug. You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our Man of Steel. He is kind and very proper, and it was a great experience.”

“I asked him, ‘Did I make you proud, cuz? Does Superman approve?’” she added. “And he was like, ‘Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.’ I think, to me, that meant the world, because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”
