Don’t expect to see Miley Cyrus performing at the 2019 MTV VMAs.
After she wasn’t nominated for any awards, fans of the 26-year-old singer said that they weren’t going to watch the show unless Miley performed – and Miley responded.

“No f–kin way,” Miley commented on one photo along with a black heart emoji.
Another fan then sent a message to the awards show writing, “They care more about a f–king green than a message to the world. nominate anyone but at least do not use the image of Miley to promote their damn prizes @vmas and #SheIsComing #Peace.”
Miley Cyrus then commented back writing, “Exactly.”
The show will air on MTV on Monday, August 26 at 8 pm ET with Sebastian Maniscalco as host. Check out the full list of nominees here.
Ariana Grande might be skipping the 2019 MTV VMAs this year.
The 26-year-old singer, who tied Taylor Swift for the most nominations this year, revealed her reason for not being able to make it to the live show.
When asked by a fan if she was going to attend, Ariana shared that she has “shows in london the day before and after :/.”
Ariana is up for 10 honors including: Video of the year, Artist of the year, Best Hip-Hop, Best Pop, and Song of the Year. See all the nominations now!

The new couple’s most recent collaboration, “Senorita”, picked up three (3) nominations, including Best Collaboration at the 2019 MTV VMAs!
On top of the three nominations for the track, Shawn also picked up a nomination for Artist of the Year.
Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande are up for 10 nominations each, and recently reunited Jonas Brothers picked up four nominations.
The 2019 MTV VMAs will be hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco, and air Monday, August 26th @ 8PM ET/PT on MTV.
