“He’s so popular,” Joseph told TVGuide about Charles‘ character Marcel. “Marcel has a legion. I love his introduction when we come in the bar and he’s singing, everyone’s cheering and Klaus just stands in the back like, ‘What the?’”
Charles added, “You’re not going to love to hate him; you’re going to love to love him!”

Phoebe Tonkin and Charles Michael Davis chat up The Originals during the 2013 Summer Television Critics Association Tour held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday morning (July 30) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The two actors were joined by co-stars Joseph Morgan and Claire Holt, along with executive producer Julie Plec.
“I think she realized her bond with her family is stronger than anything else,” Claire shared of her character Rebekah during the panel. “She always gets herself in trouble somehow. I think she’s going to start a riot.”
Joseph added of Klaus’ rivalry with Marcel: “We’re used to Klaus coming in with a bull in a china shop mentality, a one man army. Marcel HAS an army.”
