Tom Daley and Daniel Goodfellow pose for press after winning the Mens 10m Synchro during Day Two of the National Diving Cup on Saturday (January 23) in Southend, England.
This was the first time the two British divers competed together, earning a score of 82.08 for their dives.
“Dan has come back from injury a lot stronger and he has been able to step up to the big dives with ease. Hopefully we can continue to work hard together and elevate our scores to qualify for the Olympic Games,” Tom shared with press.
Danny added, “I’m really pleased with how that went. This is our first competition diving together and my first platform competition since coming back from injury, so it’s great to be competing again and working alongside Tom is brilliant.”
The next day, Tom again won gold during the Men’s competition.
Very happy with the way this weekend has gone :) I will share my weekend in Southend with you all on @YouTube very soon :) #DoubleGold
