Premiering next spring, Chasing Life follows twenty-something April (Ricci), a smart and quick witted aspiring journalist who is trying to work her way up the ladder at a Boston newspaper by trying to impress her hard-nosed editor and just as things start to look up at work, home and on the romance front with co-worker Dominic, April gets the devastating news from an estranged uncle that she has cancer.

Chasing Life is based on the Mexican telenovela Terminales and follows twenty-something April (Ricci), a smart and quick witted aspiring journalist who is trying to work her way up the ladder at a Boston newspaper by trying to impress her hard-nosed editor.
When not pursuing the latest scoop, April tries to balance her ambitious career with her family � her widowed mom Sara, rebellious little sister Brenna (Ramm) and her grandmother. Just as things start to look up at work, home and on the romance front with co-worker Dominic, April gets the devastating news from an estranged uncle that she has cancer.

According to Variety, Haley has been recently cast as Jason Bateman‘s daughter in the indie drama Disconnect.
The film follows a group of characters who are affected by the Internet and other forms of modern communication. Haley will play a popular but self-absorbed high school student whose younger brother falls victim to an online hoax perpetrated by two of his classmates.

Haley Ramm knows the way into the JJJ Book Club — it’s through the classics!
The 19-year-old Skateland sweetie chatted with us about some of her favorite reads and told us just why we should read her absolute favorite novel. Check it:
On her favorite novel: “‘The Great Gatsby.’ For starters, it’s a classic! Secondly, it’s the ultimate story about money not buying happiness. Third, it’s set in the Roaring Twenties where people were obsessed with luxury. It’s a lot like today. People think that material objects equal happiness and when it all comes down to it, it doesn’t. It’s love that makes you feel whole.
On books hitting the big screen: “If they’re done well, I think it’s great! As the reader, you always have your own vision and the movies don’t always please everyone!”
On the books that bring her back to her childhood: “I loved reading Judy Blume books when I was young. Just like every other 12 year old girl, my favorite was ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.’”
On judging the book by it’s cover: “Guilty! When I’m at the bookstore, I usually look for a book that has a cover that I’m drawn to. I only judge book covers, not people! :)”
