The second season of On My Block is officially wrapped up, which only means that new episodes are finally on their way!
If you don’t know, the series is a coming of age comedy about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in LAβs South Central neighborhood.
Sierra Capri and Jessica Marie Garcia shared a video on social media shortly after filming their final scenes of the season.
“Last night β₯οΈπ₯ s2 thatβs a wrappppp,” Jessica shared. “I love these people! I love our show! I love all yβall patiently waiting!!! WE SEE YOU!!!! π itβll be worth the wait ;)”

The actress, who stars in the Netflix series, On My Block, was just promoted to a series regular for the upcoming season two, Deadline reports.
If you don’t know Jessica plays Jasmine, who is all confidence and swagger.
“Iβve waited so long for this moment,” Jessica reacted on Twitter to the news. “Iβve never been a series regular before, and to be one on @OnMyBlockTv for flipping @netflix is π€―πππ½ thank you! DREAMS COME TRUE YAβLL!”
You might remember Jessica from Liv and Maddie as Willow, however, she also recently starred on ABC’s How To Get Away with Murder.
On My Block season two will kick off filming shortly in Los Angeles.
The core four of On My Block hit the stage to accept the surfboard for Choice Breakout Show at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards held at The Forum on Sunday (August 12) in Inglewood, Calif.
Sierra Capri, Diego Tinoco, Jason Genao and Brett Gray were joined by co-stars Jessica Marie Garcia and Ronni Hawk at the event, and all were very thankful for the win.
“Holy crap!!! WE WON!!!!” Jessica, who plays Jasmine, reacted on Twitter. “Thank you to all the fans for voting everyday!! We love you more than we could ever show you! Thank you!!!!”
On My Block was renewed for a season two by Netflix earlier this year.

The talented young actor was joined by co-stars David Spade, Nat Faxon and Matt Shively at the event, as well as good friend and former on-screen girlfriend, Jessica Marie Garcia.
The new movie is out on Netflix today, which just happens to be Joey‘s 20th birthday, too!

When you hear that one of your favorite shows is coming back for another season, of course you’re going to celebrate – but Jason Genao had the best reaction of all of us after hearing that On My Block was renewed for a second season.
In a new video, Jason, who plays Ruby, jumps around after hearing about the pick up news, before trying to play it cool again, saying, “I knew it.”
“Y’all was wondering what was happening to Ruby, and now you’re gonna find out,” he adds in a message to fans.
