Disney Channel Reveals Series Premiere Date For 'Secrets of Sulphur Springs'

Disney Channel has finally set the premiere date for it’s new series Secrets of Sulphur Springs!

The upcoming show stars Preston Oliver as Griffin Campbell and Kyliegh Curran as Harper, as well as Kelly Frye, Madeleine McGraw, Landon Gordon and Josh Braaten.

Set in the fictional Louisiana town of Sulphur Springs, the series follows 12-year-old Griffin Campbell (Oliver) whose world has been upended by his father, Ben (Braaten). Ben has moved the family from Chicago to take ownership of an abandoned hotel property, The Tremont. The Campbell family, which also includes Griffin’s mother, Sarah (Frye), and his younger twin siblings, Wyatt (Gordon) and Zoey (McGraw), moves into The Tremont in hopes of restoring it to the lively vacation destination it once was.

On his first day at his new school, Griffin hears rumors that the hotel is haunted by the ghost of Savannah (Elle Graham), a girl who disappeared decades ago. He soon meets and befriends Harper (Curran), a thrill-seeking classmate, and soon they discover a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time and uncover clues about the town mystery.

Secrets of Sulphur Springs premieres on Friday, January 15th at 8pm ET/PT, after the season premiere of Bunk’d, on Disney Channel. Check out a new teaser here!

The Upside-Down Magic star will play Young Jess in the 11-episode Disney Channel series.

Preston Oliver, Kyliegh Curran, Elle Graham, Kelly Frye, Josh Braaten, Landon Gordon and Madeleine McGraw star in the show which follows 12-year-old Griffin Campbell (Oliver), whose family has just uprooted their lives to move to a new town and take ownership of an abandoned hotel in hopes of restoring it back to the lively vacation destination it once was.

Not long after Griffin begins his first day at a new school, he learns that the hotel he’s just moved into is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a girl who disappeared decades ago. Along the way, Griffin befriends Harper (Curran), a bright-eyed, mystery-obsessed classmate.

Together, they uncover a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time where they’ll uncover that the key to solving the mystery may lie within Griffin’s own family.

Secrets of Sulphur Springs doesn’t have an exact premiere date yet, but we can expect to see it in 2021!

There’s a new live action, time travel mystery show coming to Disney Channel!

The network just announced that it has given a green light to Sulphur Springs, bringing 11 episodes to the channel.

Sulphur Springs is a truly genre-bending mystery that will help re-define the types of stories we tell on our network,” Jonas Agin, vice president, Original Series, Disney Channel, said in a statement. “It’s a chilling, heartfelt, funny adventure that we can’t wait for our audience to tune into.”

The series follows 12-year-old Griffin Campbell, whose family has just uprooted their lives to move to a new town and take ownership of an abandoned hotel in hopes of restoring it back to the lively vacation destination it once was. Not long after Griffin begins his first day at a new school, he learns that the hotel he’s just moved into is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a girl who disappeared decades ago.

Production is set to begin in New Orleans in 2020 with Preston Oliver, Kyliegh Curran, Elle Graham, Kelly Frye, Josh Braaten, Landon Gordon and Madeleine McGraw starring.
