The official release date for the upcoming live-action Lilo & Stitch has been revealed!
Disney‘s new adaptation of the animated feature was previously said to be out in summer 2025 and we now have an exact date.

Maia Kealoha looks super adorable while posing for photos at the 2024 Gold Gala held at The Music Center on Saturday (May 11) in Los Angeles.
The seven-year-old newcomer actress made her first red carpet appearance at the event, over a year after landing a huge role in her first movie.
At the Gala, Maia was seen taking to the stage alongside another fellow Hawaiian native actress, Auli’i Cravalho, to help honor Maui First Responders with the A1 Honor in Social Impact.

Maia will be playing Lilo in Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch. Earlier this year, her co-star Billy Magnussen was spotted on set – Check out the pics!
If you forgot, while Maia is making her acting debut in live-action Disney movie, Auli’i made her acting debut in the animated Disney hit Moana, which is also getting the live-action treatment. Auli’i will be serving as an executive producer.

Siena Agudong is seemingly confirming the reports that her older sister Sydney has been cast in the live action Lilo & Stitch!
The 18-year-old actress took to her Instagram story on Sunday (April 23) to celebrate her sister’s big news.
Sydney‘s casting was of course revealed earlier this month, though Disney has not officially made an announcement. She’ll be bringing to life Lilo’s older sister Nani in the live action adaptation.

The cast for Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch movie is continuing to grow and change.
According to a new report, the forthcoming movie is expected to bring back three stars from the original movie. One of them is said to be in talks to reprise their original role; the others will be appearing in new parts created just for them.
Disney has also reportedly parted ways with Kahiau Machado, who was recently added on to play Nani’s love interest David. His replacement has already been found.

A report even suggested that two big-name actors might be stepping up to voice aliens Jumba Jookiba and Pleakley in the movie.

Newcomer Kahiau Machado has reportedly been cast in the role of Nani’s love interest in the upcoming live action movie, according to THR.
David Kawena is a surfer and a good friend of Lilo and Nani, who helps out with watching over Lilo and even has a crush on Nani, trying to take her out on a date.
