Lennon Stella Reflects on 'Nashville' After Last Day of Filming

Lennon Stella is making us cry with this post about the end of Nashville.

The 18-year-old singer and actress celebrated after the last day of filming the show by sharing a photo with sister Maisy from their first day and a long emotional note.

“this picture was from the first scene ever. today we filmed the last scene ever,” she wrote. “I don’t know when it’s gunna hit me, and I’m terrified for it to. There’s no way im fully comprehending at this moment what my life will be like without this show, without these people.”

“I am at a loss of words honestly so forgive me if I’m speaking backwards and inside out right now, but from the depths of my being, thank you,” Lennon continued. “thank you to Callie for picking me and Maisy off of our couch in 2012 completely clueless and oblivious to the world you were about to show us. Never would I have considered acting if it wasn’t for this show, I was so dead set on making music I didn’t even think for one second about doing or being anything else, and here I am now with such a passion for acting and this world of TV and movie making.”

“thank you to the entire cast and crew for inspiring me, moving me, every day. how lucky was I to be surrounded by the purest, most solid human beings on the planet from the youngest age. and how lucky i am to have my sister right in it all with me. soaking it all in. thank you guys for making this everything it was, everything it is. how special to have my sister and I’s childhood documented. so glad every awkward stage has been captured for the world to see ;) kidding, but actually not at all… DO NOT go back to season 1 please and if you do, do me a solid and don’t show me pictures. Ahhhhhh what magic this has been. no words could possibly express my gratitude. all the love in the world. Xox,” she concluded.

Lennon & Maisy Stella Didn't Have Internet or Television Growing Up!

Lennon & Maisy Stella Didn't Have Internet or Television Growing Up!

Lennon and Maisy Stella look so ready for summer on the cover of Parade magazine, available now.

The sisters opened up about their show Nashville, fans and growing up with no Internet. Check it:

Lennon on growing up with the show: “It has been a big part of our lives. It really is a cool thing to be around the same people for so long. We have moved around so many times, our family is just a bunch of gypsies. The longest we’d ever lived in a house was a year. So it has been cool having this consistency.”

Maisy on their evolving plot lines: “It’s crazy because we’ve gone from going in the kitchen and getting a bowl of cereal and going to school to having super-intense, really detailed story lines. It’s fun to test yourself and challenge yourself with that.”

Lennon on their younger years in Canada: “We grew up on a farm with no internet, no TV, no phone. The most peaceful time of my life was our Sundays in Canada just making music and being outside.”

Lennon on Nashville fans: “It’s so crazy having people watch us grow up and love or hate our characters. And when the show got canceled [on ABC], it was an overflowing amount of love from people. We had no idea that there was that much love for it.”

Lennon Stella Learned How to Cry On-Screen From Co-Star Hayden Panettiere

Lennon Stella Learned How to Cry On-Screen From Co-Star Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere‘s character Juliette serves as a role model figure for Lennon Stella‘s Maddie in the musical drama Nashville, and, as it turns out, she is a role model for both Lennon and her little sister Maisy Stella in real life as well.

The on and off-screen sisters opened up about learning about acting from Hayden in a new video interview, revealing that she taught them how to cry on-cue (a skill both need to use often during filming.)

“Hayden is like the best person for advice,” Lennon tells Entertainment Weekly, “because she’s been doing it for so long and she really really cares.”

She also shared that in terms of crying, Hayden taught her not to hold her breath, but to start talking instead in order to channel the proper emotions.

“She knew exactly how to get it out of me.”

We knew the Nashville cast were close (they even celebrated the sisters’ dual graduations!) but we had no idea how much they helped one another on-set.
