Lea Michele and her boyfriend of almost two years Matthew Paetz have broken up, her rep confirms to JustJaredJr.com.
The 29-year-old Scream Queens star and her beau began seeing each other in the Spring of 2014. He was her first boyfriend after Cory Monteith‘s tragic death.
“Lea is surrounded by her friends, who have rallied around her and support her,” a source told People. “She’s doing fine, focusing on her working, her music and her album.” The breakup happened earlier this month.

The 29-year-old singer and her 30-year-old boyfriend, who have been dating since July 2014, embraced the PDA and got cozy as they watched the game against the Warriors.
Lea recently said on the Fempire podcast that her late boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith would have approved of their relationship, adding that Matthew is “very respectful towards the person that I was with.”

“At the end of the day, this industry is really tough, and the only way to get through is to create a solid unit, and that’s really what we’ve been since day one,” Lea said on the Fempire podcast (via ET). “We’ve stood by each other through anything that was thrown our way. [Matt] is a such a great man that he would never really let anything like that ever crack our lovely little core that we’ve created.”
Lea added, “He is very respectful towards the person that I was with, and that, again, is something I love so much about him. I really know that Cory would love him too.”
Cory sadly died back in July 2013.
Lea Michele steps out to have lunch and run some quick errands with boyfriend Matthew Paetz on Tuesday (December 22) in Los Angeles.
The 29-year-old actress recently opened up about what a perfect date night with Matthew looks like.
“Staying home and watching a movie is like date night,” Lea told People. “That’s it for me and [it's] the best night ever.”
Lea added that occasionally, Matthew “falls asleep watching 10 minutes of a movie that [she] was really excited to see.”
