Michael B. Jordan shows off his two awards in the press room during the 2016 NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday night (February 5) in Pasadena, Calif.
The 28-year-old Creed actor picked up the honors for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture and Entertainer of the Year.
“NUTS!!! So excited! I know exactly how @officialslystallone felt after the globes! He is amazing and it was an honor to work with the legend! To the other nominees tonight I am beyond thrilled to have been mentioned with you guys! Misty Copeland, Viola Davis, Pharrell and Shonda Rhimes!” Michael shared in an Instagram post after his speech.
He continued, “I also want to say that at these award shows we honor actors artists and entertainers but there are a lot of people making a difference in our communities doing positive things. To all the young people at home – DON’T feel like the only path you have to choose is JUST an entertainer. I challenge you to become the best version of yourself. Create the next formula or medical procedure. Become a chemist, engineer, lawyer, politician, writer director, producer. You living life to your full potential inspires me!”
“Those are the stories that Hollywood needs and those are the stories I will tell!” Michael added.

The 28-year-old “Sax” singer joined star Michael B. Jordan at the premiere, just after he attended the 2016 Golden Globes over the weekend in Los Angeles.
“I had a great time at the European Film Premiere of Creed tonight. Such a great film! Go and see it! ???? #Creed,” Fleur shared on Twitter after the screening.

The two young actors hit the red carpet to rep their movies, Creed and The Revenant, which where both up for several awards.
The Revenant took home Best Dramatic Performance in a Motion Picture for Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sylvester Stallone picked up the Best Supporting Performance honor for Creed.

On the backlash after hanging out with Kendall Jenner: “It’s the world we live in. They see white and black. I don’t. Kendall’s a friend of mine, you know. I don’t know her, like, that well, but I know her enough. People’s perspective on that is what it is. I don’t f*cking know. I don’t live my life to make other people happy. It’s so weird, though, right? A lot of black fans were feeling like ‘Oh, my god, he should have been with a black woman’ and that whole thing.”
On changing the trajectory of his career: “I told my team after I finished Chronicle that I only want to go out for roles that were written for white characters. Me playing the role will make it what it is.”
On getting female attention: “I understand what females want and need, you know. I’m good at that. I don’t know if I’m the guy to give it to them right now. I’m emotionally unavailable. Until I find something that’s so undeniable that I can’t help myself. The females, they’ll always be there. Like honestly, bro, oh my God. Female-wise now? I ain’t got to do too much work. And it’s weird, because I’m the same guy. I haven’t f*cking changed, right? I haven’t done anything different…Okay maybe a blockbuster film.”
