Miley Cyrus snaps a selfie with her BFF Cheyne Thomas in the background while hanging out backstage at the Fader Fort presented by Converse during the 2015 SXSW Festival on Thursday (March 19) in Austin, Tex.
The 22-year-old singer was also joined at the event by her pal, Insurgent actress Zoe Kravitz.
Miley gave a surprise performance at the event, which was organized by her collaborator Mike WiLL Made It. She sang her song “23″ with Mike before going into her hit track “We Can’t Stop.”

The 22-year-old entertainer is up for the Best Pop Vocal Album award tonight for her album Bangerz. Mike WiLL Made-It helped produce the album for Miley. We wish Miley the best of luck tonight!
