Vanessa Hudgens and Phantoms just won our hearts forever with their new video for “Lay With Me”.
A big nod to High School Musical, the two artists recreated the end of the first movie with Vanessa on stage, auditioning for the school musical and we are living for it.
“When we sat down with Vanessa to brainstorm ideas for the video, we knew that this idea was something both our fans and Disney fans alike would be excited to see,” Phantoms shared about the visual for the track.
They added, “It represents us all growing up and moving on, but still remembering where we came from. Directed by The Dads, they did an amazing job of bringing our vision to life and making it really funny as well. We are super proud of how it turned out.”
When Vanessa Hudgens shared that there was a nod to High School Musical in her upcoming music video with Phantoms for “Lay With Me”, we thought that the basketball uniforms would be all we would get.
BUT – WE WERE WRONG!
In a new teaser, Vanessa gave fans an even better look at the video coming to us this week and there’s an entire nod to “Breaking Free”!
“Told you this one for you guys,” she captioned on her Instagram with a bunch of emojis with their tongues sticking out.

Finally!! The new music Vanessa Hudgens started working on earlier this year is on it’s way.
The 29-year-old entertainer teased that she was in the studio working with duo Phantoms back in January, and we haven’t heard any other news since – until now.
“What your gonna be doin when you hear what we’ve been brewin 😝😉 @phantoms,” Vanessa captioned a Boomerang of the trio dancing.
Vanessa and Phantoms also showed off a few clips on their Instagram Stories pages while at the Republic Records office, where Phantoms is a signed act.
