Candice Glover works the red carpet at the American Idol grand finale at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday evening (May 13).

The Season 12 winner was joined by Season 13 champ Caleb Johnson, plus Max Schneider and season 14 hopefuls Maddie Walker, Daniel Seavey, Tyanna Jones, Adanna Duru, Sarina-Joi Crowe, Qassim Middleton, Joey Cook, Quentin Alexander, and Rayvon Owen.

Quentin Alexander is opening up after his public argument with judge Harry Connick, Jr. on American Idol on Wednesday night (April 15).

“What kind of threw me off was how he said, ‘If you think it is whack, you can go home.’ If you think I’m being rude, to be disrespectful back isn’t right. Two wrongs don’t make a right,” the 20-year-old contestant shared with People, after Harry called him out on being ‘disrespectful’.

Quentin added, “He said I could leave. I know I can leave. He can leave as well, but he chooses to be here because he loves to do what he’s doing. And that’s the same for me. Ryan just asked how I was feeling, and I was honest. I was upset.”

He said of eliminated contestant Joey Cook, “My fear was that they’re going to pit both of us against each other [in the bottom two], but I was also very uncomfortable that I [got voted through] and she didn’t. But I’m happy that she gets to branch out and flourish now because she is a monster. She gets the chance to fly now � to soar.”

Idol‘s Top 6 are Quentin, Rayvon Owen, Jax, Tyanna Jones, Nick Fradiani, and Clark Beckham.

Quentin Alexander gets into a super tense moment on American Idol following his first performance of the night on Wednesday (April 15) in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old contestant received some negative comments from judge Harry Connick Jr. and then they ended up getting into a little argument.

Quentin said “this sucks” and that it was “whack” that two of his friends were in the bottom two and up for elimination that night.

“If it’s that whack, then you can always go home,” Harry responded. “Because Idol is paying a lot of money to give you this experience and for you to say that to this hand that is feeding you right now, I think is highly disrespectful.”

Quentin then clarified his comments by saying he was saying it was “whack” that two of the best performers were in the bottom two. “For my personal feelings, it sucks to see two people who I’ve grown to love go home. That’s what I mean by it being wack. So I’m not disrespecting this competition,” he said.

It was Qaasim Middleton who was voted off of American Idol stage on Wednesday night (April 8) in Los Angeles.

Qaasim was in the bottom two with Rayvon Owen and with the live fan vote, was sent home after performing Outkast‘s “Hey Ya”.

The Top 7 are Clark Beckham, Jax, Joey Cook, Tyanna Jones, Rayvon, Quentin Alexander, and Nick Fradiani.

Daniel Seavey performs his last song on the American Idol stage on Wednesday night (April 1) in Los Angeles.

The 15-year-old contestant took on Kelly Clarkson‘s “Breakaway” for Kelly Clarkson night and ultimately was not saved by the live fan vote.

The Top 8 are Clark Beckham, Jax, Joey Cook, Tyanna Jones, Rayvon Owen, Quentin Alexander, and Nick Fradiani.
