Rebecca Black just released her new song and music video, “Personal.”
“‘Personal’ represents this reckoning with a consequence of heartbreak I hadn’t really ever understood,” Rebecca says in a statement, “which was the guilt and heaviness that comes with being the one to put an end to a relationship when that is not what the other person wants. I’ve learned you can’t really stop two people on roads heading in opposite directions, and it can feel so difficult to consciously make a decision that you know will hurt someone you love, while at the same time knowing it’s the necessary choice for yourself at the end of the day.”
In addition, Greyson Chance has debuted his new song, “Hellboy.” “Thank you to every single person who made this song possible. And to anyone listening today, thank you for giving me the strength & encouragement to keep on doing what I do, no matter the circumstance. Now go D A N C E ⚡️,” he wrote on Instagram.

Rebecca Black is celebrating 10 years since the release of her song “Friday“!
To commemorate the anniversary, the 23-year-old debuted a remix of the track, featuring Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3.
“I’d had the idea to do this remix of Friday for years leading up to now but honestly it was also mildly insane for me to think anyone else would want to be a part of it,” she said in a statement. “As I started talking about it with other artists and producers I couldn’t believe how stoked people were about it. I am thrilled to have some of my favorite artists (and people) as a part of this moment – [producer] Dylan Brady, Dorian Electra, Big Freedia, 3OH!3.”
“When they asked me to be on the remix I was like yasss! ‘Friday’ defined an era and changed the music industry! It was a fun project,” Big Freedia added.
3OH!3 shared, “It’s 10 years later now, it’s 3OH!3 on Friday. Sick of living through these Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays. But then Thursday comes along and we are sayin ‘Friday here comes f–kin Friday.”

The 23-year-old YouTube star recently dished to Teen Vogue about mental health, her sexuality and more. Check it out:
On still working to figure out exactly who she is: “It’s hard for me to go back and watch some of my older YouTube videos. Some of them are my most viewed videos. There is an essence of who I am in them, but there became a time, probably around 17, that I … put more importance on pleasing and entertaining people so they would like me, more than on being myself, which is why I started [YouTube] in the first place.”
On finding a version of herself she’s proud of: “There’s always been a thread I’ve been able to hold onto, but that doesn’t mean along the way I’ve always been myself. That might be why it looks like I’ve been constantly reinventing myself. I lost touch with that for a while and I’ve gotten back in touch with it over time — that sureness. I’ve really spent the last five years trying to get that sense of self back.”
On worrying that people wouldn’t think her sexuality was real: “I’ve had a lot of people in my life tell me, ‘that doesn’t sound like a real thing,’ and it is. For me, in my own conversation with myself, it wasn’t that hard to accept that I could love a man just as much as a woman or any person, regardless of their gender. I can look at my life and have experience of both. I don’t question my own [feelings], but it is a difficult conversation at times.”

“I am deeply ashamed to have taken part in such an offensive bit,” Rebecca wrote on Twitter, following fans re-surfacing the video to call her and Shane out on it. “Yes I was 16, uncomfortable, and didn’t know this was coming.”
She adds, “Shane, I know that deep down you are trying to learn and grow. But we must do better & take complete responsibility for how harmful this is. @shanedawson.”
Rebecca also added a true apology for her actions.
“I am so sorry to those I have hurt,” she wrote. “I wish what I would have done was shut such an offensive joke down, rather than uncomfortably play into something I deep down knew was wrong.”
