The US Men’s Gymnastics Team is ready to go!
Team Captain Chris Brooks shared an inspiring message on Instagram just moments ahead of walking into the arena for their first day of competition at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.
“This is what it’s all about. The fans and family etc are greatly appreciated of course, but your brothers who were there shoulder to shoulder with you through the grind, the highs and lows of these past 4 years doing everything we could to make team USA stronger,” he wrote, with a massive group pic including Sam Mikulak, Danell Leyva, , Alex Naddour, Jake Dalton, their coaches and alternates.
Chris added, “We will step onto the field of play this afternoon hearts full with the spirit of every young man that has pushed himself to contribute to our national team strength. We thank you #family #team #heart.”
Good luck guys!

The 23-year-old gymnast, who will be competing alongside team mates Danell Leyva, team captain Chris Brooks, Alex Naddour, and Jake Dalton in the games, shared his cool hairstyle with fans.
It was just announced that Sam and Chris will be the running for the all-around final after their podium training day in Brazil on Wednesday (August 3).
In the qualification round, four gymnasts from each five-member team will compete on each event, and the three best scores count towards the team’s score. In the team final, three gymnasts compete on each event and all three scores count.
The Men’s Gymanastics events start on Saturday, August 6th!
