Exactly one year ago today, Simone Biles made history by winning the all-around gold medal in Rio.
It’s not the kind of feat one just forgets, and Simone is taking her one-year anniversary of the day to remember all that she has accomplished.
“I’ve had chills all day because one year ago I won the All-Around Gold,” the 20-year-old Olympian wrote on Twitter.
She then took to Twitter again, encouraging others to follow suit: “Never give up on your dreams kids,” she continued, “Anything is possible. XOXO.”
We’re still so proud of her, and of course of Aly Raisman, who took silver in the all-around that fateful day.
Exactly one year ago today the Final Five — Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, and Madison Kocian — won a team gold at the 2016 summer Olympics.
“Time flies,” Simone tweeted with a series of images of the girls posing with their gold medals and waving to the crowd, “A year ago today we won team gold. Final Five. My heart.”

In the latter category, the Olympic gold medalist is now getting her very own Lifetime movie.
Lifetime announced today (July 28) that it has green-lit a TV movie about the 20-year-old gymnast, Entertainment Tonight reports, likely to be called The Simone Biles Story.
The film will be based on Simone‘s book, Courage to Soar: A Body in Motion, A Life in Balance, and it will follow her life, covering everything from training as a gymnast to her time in foster care.
Simone will be executive producing the movie, which we can expect in 2018.
What can’t she do?
If you’ve ever gotten your wisdom teeth removed, you know how loopy it can feel coming off the anesthesia from surgery!
Simone Biles documented her experience and shared the hysterical Instagram video with fans on Thursday (July 27).

Poor Simone Biles!
The 20-year-old Olympic gold medalist is going through an uncomfortable rite of passage this week that many of us have to face eventually: she is getting her wisdom teeth removed.

“wisdom teeth removal food recommendations GO!” the Dancing With the Stars dancer tweeted yesterday (July 25) to her followers. Fortunately, they delivered with their recommendations, suggesting everything from mashed potatoes to macaroni to milkshakes (but not through a straw!)
Good luck, Simone! It won’t be as bad as you’re imagining, we promise.
We can’t resist writing about Jake Miller and Simone Biles‘ friendship every time we are given the opportunity to. The 24-year-old musician and 20-year-old Olympian are both inspiring in their own right, and they always support one another in their careers.
Simone took away two ESPY awards last night, and her BFF was there to support her.
“Little steak dinner last night with @simonebiles to celebrate her ESPYs,” Jake captioned an Instagram post of the two of them posing together, smiling big. Simone posted the very same Instagram, with a slightly different caption.
“My two favorite things,” she wrote, “jake & steak.”
These two support each other in everything: Simone sent Jake the sweetest send-off on his music tour, and he supported heron Dancing With the Stars, among (MANY) other examples, so we’re not surprised Jake supported her at the ESPYs.
