The country duo behind “Girl In A County Song” explained about the delay in getting the album to their fans: “What we had was good, but we knew it could be so much better. Our label understood when we went to them to say we needed more time.”
Tae added, “We wanted to get the feel � the sound of it � and the music right. You only make your first album once. We’d put so much heart into this, so many writing trips to Nashville when we were kids, building this music to be something special. We knew we were close, but we needed the time to step back and breathe, and get it right!”

Maddie and Tae catch up with Frankie Ballard backstage during the ACM Party For A Cause Festival held at Globe Life Park on Saturday afternoon (April 18) in Arlington, Texas.

How cool is this teaser pic from Maddie & Tae‘s upcoming video for “Fly”?
“Here’s a taste of @MaddieandTae’s official music video for their brand NEW single #Fly… What do y’all think?” the country duo’s label, Big Machine, teased on Twitter.
The girls opened up about their new track recently.
“‘Fly’ is not about when the going’s easy and the path’s smooth,” Tae shared. “It’s when everything’s going wrong� when you’re sure it’s not going to happen� and somehow still take that step. For Maddie and I, that always seems to be the moment when – literally – we fly.”
Maddie added, “How you keep your faith when it’s hard makes the difference. There will always be wrong turns, people who can’t see it… and when you keep going, even when you’re scared or sad, that’s when things seem to happen.”
Maddie & Tae rock out on stage for the 2015 CMT Ultimate Kickoff Party Live on Friday night (January 9) in Dallas, Texas.
The hot country duo performed alongside Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich, Brett Eldredge, and Jake Owen for the bash.

Earlier in the week, Maddie and Tae hit the recording studio to work on some new tracks.
“Studio jams ft. the amazing Dann Huff :) SO excited for ya’ll to hear these new songs!! #fiddlealldayeveryday,” the girls wrote on Instagram.

Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye sing it loud on stage during a concert at the Las Vegas Events Center on Friday night (December 5) in Las Vegas.
The 19-year-old country duo performed alongside Lady Antebellum and David Nail just after being announced as presenters for the inaugural 2014 American Country Countdown Awards.
The American Country Countdown Awards are based on country music’s longest-running radio countdown show of 41 years, “American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks,” and will honor country artists based on album sales and radio airplay.
The show will air live on Monday, December 15th @ 8PM ET/PT on Fox with a tape-delay.
