Miya Cech has landed a new role!

The young actress will star in a new, re-imagined version of Are You Afraid of the Dark? for Nickelodeon.

“Submitted for your approval… I’m so excited to join the new Midnight Society! Ready for a fun Summer of scary storytelling. 🔥 #AreYouAfraidOfTheDark,” she wrote on Instagram.

The three-part series introduces an entirely new Midnight Society group of kids who tell a terrifying tale about the Carnival of Doom, only to have the events of the story come to life.

Miya will be joined by Sam Ashe Arnold, Tamara Smart, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Lyliana Wray and Rafael Casal.

Filming is set to begin this month in Vancouver, Canada, with a premiere set for October.

The film follows 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he finds himself in a battle of strength and cunning against a powerful, hidden race of fairies who may be behind his father’s disappearance.

Josh Gad, Judi Dench, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, and Nonzo Anozie also star in the film, directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Artemis Fowl, based on the beloved book by Eoin Colfer, will hit theaters on August 9, 2019.
