Viola Davis is the latest big name to join the cast of the upcoming The Hunger Games prequel movie!
The Oscar-winning actor has been cast as Head Gamemaker Volumnia Gaul in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, based on Suzanne Collins‘ novel of the same name.
Viola joins Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andres Rivera and more.

Amandla Stenberg is clearing any tension she may have towards former co-star Jack Quaid.
While at 2022 Comic-Con over the weekend, the 23-year-old actress offered forgiveness to the actor.
If you forgot, or didn’t know, the two were in the first The Hunger Games movie together, which was one of Amandla‘s first roles.
In the movie, Amandla‘s Rue died in the Hunger Games at the hands of Jack‘s Marvel, who threw a spear at Katniss, but it pierced her instead.

Peter Dinklage is joining the cast of the upcoming The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!
The Game of Thrones star was just announced as the latest actor to join the prequel film as production is currently underway.
“With production underway, we couldn’t be more excited about the way this cast has come together and thrilled to be welcoming Peter Dinklage to Panem,” Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group president Nathan Kahane shared in a statement.
“Peter is not just a fan favorite actor who brings a commanding presence to every part he plays,” he continued. “He is one of the best actors alive. He will bring a formidable, charismatic authority to the important role of the dean of the Academy.”

The cast of tributes and mentors is growing for the upcoming Hunger Games prequel film!
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is adding six more actors to it’s cast, featuring five mentors and one tribute.
If you missed it, this week it was announced that this actor has joined the cast of the prequel, joining previously announced Hunter Schafer, Rachel Zegler, Ashley Liao, Josh Andres Rivera, Tom Blyth and more. See more casting here!
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes takes place years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow (Blyth) is the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol.
With the 10th annual Hunger Games fast approaching, the young Snow is alarmed when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler), the girl tribute from impoverished District 12. But, after Lucy Gray commands all of Panem’s attention by defiantly singing during the reaping ceremony, Snow thinks he might be able to turn the odds in their favor.
Uniting their instincts for showmanship and newfound political savvy, Snow and Lucy’s race against time to survive will ultimately reveal who is a songbird, and who is a snake.

The West Side Story actor will be joining his former co-stars and IRL girlfriend Rachel Zegler in the upcoming Hunger Games prequel, Deadline reveals.
After the news was announced, Rachel shared on her Instagram story, “never been prouder of someone in my life lemme tell you.” Awww!
