Cameron Boyce Receives Pioneering Spirit Award at Thirst Gala 2018

Cameron Boyce poses with his award backstage at the 2018 Thirst Gala held at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday (April 21) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Bunk’d star was presented the Pioneering Spirit Award for his work with The Thirst Project by his co-star and BFF Karan Brar and his Descendants director Kenny Ortega.

There was a little High School Musical reunion that night with stars Monique Coleman and Olesya Rulin with director/choreographer Kenny.

Also in attendance were host Michelle Monaghan, Power Rangers co-stars RJ Cyler and Dacre Montgomery, Laura Marano, Garrett Clayton, siblings Thomas and Brielle Barbusca, Steven R. McQueen, On My Block‘s Ronni Hawk, Famous In Love‘s Niki Koss, Sophie Reynolds, Luke Benward, Tegan Marie, and Candis Cayne.

FYI: Michelle wore an Alice Temperley dress. Garrett wore a Topman suit. Dacre wore head to toe Salvatore Ferragamo. Olesya is wearing a Majorelle dress from Revolve and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Cameron is wearing a Gucci suit, a Topman shirt, and an Issey Miyake tie.

Laura Marano and Camila Mendes have wrapped up their new movie, The Stand In.

Sharing a cute pic with Camila, Noah Centineo and Odiseas Georgiadis, Laura shared a sweet message after their last day on the set in New Orleans, La.

“That’s a wraaap!” Laura started. “Can’t believe we finished #thestandinmovie last night (and can’t believe how fast it went!)….I had the beeest time, & I can’t wait for you to see it!”

She added, “I’m truly gonna miss everyone so much…and oof, don’t get me started on how much I’m gonna miss beignets.”

The Stand In centers on Brooks Rattigan (Centineo), who in a clever scheme to raise money for college, creates a dating app wherein he plays the roll of “stand-in” boyfriend for every kind of situation you can imagine.

Laura shared a pic of the two on Instagram this afternoon, showing that Ally and Dallas are definitely all grown up.
