It’s okay to admit it with us — we’re total Ross Lynch and Laura Marano shippers. Just look who cute those two are together on Austin & Ally!
Ross, 18, chatted with Teen.com about the rumors, R5‘s new EP, his hopes for Austin & Ally‘s upcoming season and more. Check it:
On his favorite song from the upcoming album: “There’s a song called ‘Smile’ that I’m really excited about. It’s a cool song. The whole band is into old school rock ‘n roll and we’re heavily influenced by The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, so this song brings a little of that Beatles-drive. So that’s one of the reasons we really like it.”
On Austin & Ally: “I hope Austin and Ally can establish a solid relationship that’s consistent, because that’s the name of the game right now. They become boyfriend and girlfriend and then they break up. And then it happens again. I think it’d be fun if they actually had a good relationship for a while.”
On the ‘Raura’ rumors: “You just laugh about it! Me and Laura are super close friends and everyone on the set will tease us like, ‘ohh Raura’s on set!’ So it just becomes a joke. It’s never awkward with me! Laura tends to get a little awkward sometimes, but that’s okay — it’s cute. It’s funny.”
On Teen Beach Movie 2: “I think with any sequel, when it’s a continuation off a successful first movie, there’s always hype around it and people are going to watch it because of that. But I also think they’re going to like [this movie] because it’s a tad bit more modern, so people can relate to it more and that’s always nice. And of course you get to see all the old characters!”
The cast of Austin & Ally show off their spacey costumes in this new still from this weekend’s episode.
Did you know that Calum Worthy wrote this episode?
“From day 1 of Austin & Ally, I wanted to write on our show,” Calum dished to JJJ. “We have the best writers in the business and I really look up to them. I basically just begged! [Creators] Kevin and Heath and the other writers were very supportive and walked me through the process.”
He continued, “In Season 2 I spent a lot of time in the writers room just watching them do their thing. A month before Season 3 Kevin and Heath called and told me Disney agreed to give me an episode! I was so grateful!”
“In this episode I am dressed as a Zalien in every scene! As the writer you go into note sessions with executives and producers, and every time we had a note session I had to do it in this GIANT Zalien costume!” Calum added about his get up for the episode.
In “Eggs & Extraterrestrials”, when Dez (Worthy), Trish (Raini Rodriguez) and Austin (Ross Lynch) convince Ally (Laura Marano) to attend the annual Zaliens Convention that’s being held in Miami, Trish and Dez happen to stumble upon real Zaliens and the foursome must devise a plan to survive.
We can’t wait to see it on Sunday, July 27th @ 9PM ET/PT on Disney Channel. 15+ pics inside…

Biggest question for this episode alone — how on Earth is Dwyane Wade related to Dez (Calum Worthy)?
In the new episode of Austin & Ally tonight, “Fanatics & Favors”, Austin (Ross Lynch), Ally (Laura Marano) and Trish (Raini Rodriguez) learn that Dez has an unexpected relative who is coincidentally a huge Austin Moon fan — not to mention that he’s Dwyane Wade, former Miami Heat basketball player.

Not in these pictures, but in their new DCOM, they will be.
Laura Marano and Good Luck Charlie mom Leigh-Allyn Baker have joined Bad Hair Day, Variety reports.
The buddy adventure will follow a high school tech whiz (Marano) who’s bound and determined to be crowned prom queen. But, on the big day, everything that can go wrong does go wrong, starting with her sudden and epically uncontrollable hair and her once lovely but now destroyed prom dress.
She soon comes to rely on a down on her luck cop (Baker) who’s in pursuit of a missing necklace that the teen unwittingly has in her possession. Prom day goes from bad to mad as the pair is pursued by a dogged jewel thief (Christian Campbell) on a wild ride across the city.
Bad Hair Day is set to premiere in 2015.

Laura Marano and Olivia Holt both play dress up in their new features for the May/June 2014 issue of Annex Magazine!
In the travel-themed issue, the girls open up to the glossy about being in the spotlight and working hard as teenagers. Check it:
Laura on working a lot: “I am ridiculously lucky to be surrounded by a wonderful group of people! Thankfully, I can always count on the people around me if I need any help with anything in my life. Also, whenever I just need a moment to breathe, I put on music, and I instantly feel better.”
Olivia on the spotlight: “Sometimes it’s a little scary because I’m a teenager, and if I make one wrong move it’s out there for the world to know and see. At the same time, though, it makes me more cautious and aware.”
