The 27-year-old entertainer will not be a part of the show’s upcoming 19th season on NBC this fall.
The news was revealed on Tuesday (June 16) when the NBC Fall schedule was unveiled, and they announced that Gwen Stefani would be returning as a coach on the series.
Nick filled in for Gwen‘s spot when she took a break from the show to focus on her Las Vegas residency.
Nick made it to the finals for his first time as a coach with his artist Thunderstrom Artis, who went on to place third in the competition.
The Voice regularly switches out coaches, so there is definitely a possibility for Nick to return!
As part of the finale, Nickreleased a brand new song called “Until We Meet Again” and dedicated it frontline workers.

The 27-year-old coach, musician and actor shared the music video on the finale episode, which featured a cameo from wife Priyanka Chopra.
“Wrote a new song called #UntilWeMeetAgain to perform on tonight’s #TheVoiceFinale and it’s out now! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to @feedingamerica. Thank you all for an amazing first season on @nbcthevoice!!” Nick shared on Instagram.
In the video, Nick heads out to a field and holds up signs thanking frontline workers, while also featuring photos of nurses, doctors and more essential workers.
Nick‘s signs combined, read “Thank you for your bravery. We love you.”

Nick Jonas is keeping the tradition of the red chair alive, even while filming from his own home for The Voice!
The Top 17 contestants all performed from their homes and the four judges – Nick, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton – watched the performances from their own homes.
This is Nick‘s first season as a judge and it seems he is the only one committed to the tradition!
Carson Daly, the host of the show, filmed his portion live from the studio at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.

The two singers got to meet coach Nick Jonas‘ brothers Kevin and Joe, as they were their celebrity mentors.
After the performance, Nick made his decision to have Allegra stay on his team. But Nick also decided to SAVE Michael!!
“I know you’re going to bring it in the four-way knockout @michaeltcwill! Thank you @allegramiles for that incredible battle.. Wow! #TeamNick #VoiceBattles,” Nick tweeted after the decision aired.
Going into the battle rounds, the guys from Team Blake were excited to be paired with each other.
Jamal and Levi actually sang together during the audition process. When it was announced who they were being paired with, Jamal said, “I knew it,” after it was announced that they would be battling against each other.
The two sang “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic for their battle round.
After their performance, Blake Shelton picked Levi to continue in the competition.
Mike and Zach got a few pointers during the mentoring session with coach John Legend and guest mentor Ella Mai.
“We have certain expectations that this song needs to be delivered convincingly, and wow, you guys delivered it convincingly,” John told the guys after they took the stage. “Like, no doubt about it.”
After their performance, John made his decision to choose Mike Jerel to stay in the competition.
