And it’s pretty clear to see that it has Ed‘s girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, written all over it!
“The catalyst of taking a year off was also the fact that my partner she quit her job in New York which she’s now got back in London and it’s even better which is kinda cool. We were just basically like let’s just quit our jobs and have a year of forming a tight bond and a relationship,” Ed shared about Cherry and the inspiration behind the track.
Ed adds, “I’ve never been happier, I’ve never been more comfortable. I’ve never been more inspired. I just feel like everything is sort of falling into place and it’s falling into place because I’ve given it the time to fall into place.”
We also know that “Shape of You” is about her, and “Hearts Don’t Break Around Here” definitely has Cherry written all over it, too.
