What Does Ed Sheeran's Mom Think About His Song 'Supermarket Flowers'?

If you’re like us, you can’t stop playing Ed Sheeran‘s new album, Divide…and even more, can’t stop listening to “Supermarket Flowers”.

While it’s a sad song written about Ed‘s grandmother, who passed away, it’s also very touching and moving…especially for Ed‘s mother, Imogen.

“I haven’t really spoken to her about it,” Ed shared when asked about how she felt about the song being about her own mother. “She obviously at the funeral gave me a massive hug and said she loves it but I haven’t really spoken to her about it.”

Ed added, “I think she, like my grandfather, knows that it’s a nice way to remember someone…I think if I passed away and I had a grandchild that had written a song, I think it’s a nice way to remember someone.”
