Brent Rivera Explains All the Reasons Growing Up Sucks (Video)

Brent Rivera is sharing his least favorite things about growing up!

The YouTuber just posted a new video explaining that becoming a teenager does have its perks, but it also has a lot of downsides.

In the hilarious clip, Brent plays three different characters – himself in present day at age 19, himself as a 7-year-old, and his mom.

“Being a teenager seems so cool,” young Brent says. “You get to go to sick parties, stay up late, hang out with friends whenever you want … you can come home whenever you want, go to bed whenever you want, drive wherever you want…”

Older Brent responds, “Your parents expect more things from you. You have more responsibilities. School gets more stressful. Try four hours of homework plus studying for four tests in one night.”

He also dishes on girl problems, curfew problems, and how parents sometimes treat you like an adult but sometimes like a child.

“Hey Mom, can you make that dentist appointment for me?” he says, to which his “mom” replies, “Honey, you are 18 years old. You need to be doing these things for yourself.”
