Lana Condor Opens Up About All The Amazing Responses For 'TATBILB'

It’s almost been a month since the premiere of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and Lana Condor is still getting amazing messages about the film.

“The response and outpouring of love I’ve received from the fans of the movie and from the fans of the book is unbelievable,” the 21-year-old actress shared with Think Progress.

“I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive, loving, excited, wonderful group of people to be on this journey with me.”

Lana added that the most meaningful responses have been from random encounters from fellow Asian Americans.

“The most meaningful thing that has happened to me is just women coming up to me, old and young, telling me that seeing someone that looks like themselves represented in a three-dimensional character makes them feel seen and confident for the first time,” she shared.

“I’ve received so many messages of girls opening their hearts to me and how the movie has helped them through different circumstances they’re in, including issues with confidence and not always feeling like they fit in, and that’s been the most meaningful part of this whole experience.”
