Dove Cameron Told Everyone She Was Going To Dye Her Hair Lavender Last Year!

Dove Cameron surprised her fans this weekend by showing off her new lavender colored hair on Instagram.

The color (which is a pinky purple) is gorgeous on her, obviously, and the while many were surprised at the change, JJJ really wasn’t – because she told us last year!

While promoting her Bellami hair extension line, Dove shared that it was always her intention to try out the color.

“I actually went baby pink early in 2016, for a little bit,” Dove told us. “It’s really difficult to keep a color like that though, especially with platinum hair. It washes out so fast…[I've been] wanting to dye my hair a very pale, almost champagne gray lavender for a while. We’ll see though.”

She explained that she’d make the change when her solo music was about to take off – and it is.

“If I start to really dive into music, like I think I’m going to soon, that would be a more suitable option for a singer rather than an actress,” Dove added. “For that, I’m shooting for 2018. I’m excited for it.”
