Liam Payne Talks Engagement For The First Time In New Interview

Liam Payne has opened up about his recent engagement for the first time!

The 27-year-old musician did an interview on Good Morning America and shared about his love.

“We’re just really happy,” Liam said. “I mean, in the last week, I’ve just had a birthday, my son [Bear] has gone to school for the first time today, so it seems like a lot of firsts for me, really, actually, which is great.”

It’s been about five days since it was confirmed by his rep that he proposed to girlfriend Maya Henry. See her ring now if you missed it!

Liam celebrated his birthday last weekend, on Saturday (August 29), and just shared a video of his massive cake, in the shape of a chocolate chip cookie. While on GMA, he also said that he got nice birthday texts from his One Direction mates.

“They really set me up with this 🍪🤣 EVERYTHING is cake 😂😂 Thanks again for all the birthday love everyone ❤️,” he captioned the video.
