Jordin Sparks Reveals She Recorded This Hit Song Before Selena Gomez, Shares Snippet - Listen Now!

It’s no secret that sometimes a song is recorded by one or more other artists before it is actually released…

Jordin Sparks has just revealed that she once recorded a version of a song in 2010, which ended up going to Selena Gomez & The Scene.

In a new TikTok video posted on Tuesday (November 30), Jordin shared that she once recorded her own version of “Who Says.”

“Back in 2010 I recorded a version of Who Says. @Selena Gomez you killed this!! 🎶,” she captioned the video, sharing a snippet of her version. Check it out below!

“Fun fact: Back in 2010 I recorded ‘Who says.’ I loved the message of this one,” she wrote in the video. “It ended up being a great fit for Selena Gomez. She killed it!!”

“Who Says” was released by Selena Gomez & The Scene on March 4, 2011 as the lead single from the album When The Sun Goes Down. Selena also recorded a Spanish version, “Dices,” which ended up as a bonus track.

The song, co-written and produced by Emanuel Kiriakou and Priscilla Hamilton, went on to debut at No 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, has gone 3x Platinum in the US and more. It even won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Music: Single in 2011.
